In 1983, Alan Firkser and Suesanna Voorhees opened Paper Conservation Studio in a small garret at Madison Avenue and 84th Street in New York City.

The company moved to Broadway/Columbus Circle in 1998, where we operated for 20 years.

As of June 2018 we have relocated to our new Chelsea/Garment Center studio:

Following Suesanna’s retirement in 2000 Alan has continued to operate the company serving the art community and private collectors conserving prints, drawings, watercolors, graphic arts, historical documents, letters, etc.  We also consult on and treat water and fire and  damaged items, as well as, items damaged in shipping.

Feel free to contact us with any conservation questions.
